For years, newspapers have published rumors and lies about us without telling our side of the story. We now realize that we need to show people our own perspective, in our own voices, because we can\u2019t rely on others to do it for us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #610161;\">&#8220;In December 2014, a group of us started a website called\u00a0<em><a style=\"color: #610161;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kuchutimes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kuchu Times<\/a><\/em>\u00a0to do just that. Encompassing the entire LGBTI community,\u00a0&#8220;kuchu&#8221; is the word we call ourselves in Uganda.
